Jinelle Siergiej (Zaugg) graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2008. She is 23-years-old and grew up in Eagle River, WI. Jinelle played on the boys high school hockey team since her school (Nortyhland Pines) did not offer girls hockey at the time. She was part of a high school team which qualified for the State Tournament. While in high school Jinelle also played for the Madison Capitals, a U-19 traveling team based in Madison, Wisconsin.

As a member of the University of Wisconsin women's hockey team, Jinelle was part of back-to-back National Championships and finished her career as UW's career leader in goals scored. The Eagle River, WI native is currently living and training in Minnesota with the U.S. Women's National Hockey Team.

Her parents own a resort called Zaugg's Resort on Anvil Lake in Eagle River, WI. When Jinelle is not on the ice, she enjoys anything outside including horseback riding, water skiing, biking and being together with family and friends.
