Ryan Suter has been a defenseman for the Nashville Predators since being drafted in 2003. Ranking among the top young defensemen in the league, he has represented Team USA at several world championships, but Vancouver will be his first Olympic appearance. Suter began playing hockey at age 2, his father being a member of the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" team that defeated the Soviet Union at the Lake Placid Games. A self-professed huge country music fan, Suter enjoys catching live music at The Stage and Tootsies in Nashville.
