Born in Leicester, England, Chris Adcock is a badminton doubles specialist who made his professional debut in 2006. He began playing the sport around age 8, inspired by his older brother’s performances at local clubs. Adcock and fellow Englishman Andrew Ellis played men’s doubles at the London 2012 Olympics, but lost in the first round. Since 2013, he has competed alongside his now-wife Gabrielle in mixed doubles. 2015 saw the Adocks finish world no. 7 in mixed doubles. They were the surprise winners of the year’s Super Series Masters Finals.
