Biography

Lisa Carrington began paddling in 2006 to improve her skills as a surf lifesaver. Five years later, she was crowned the women’s kayak single (K1) 200-meter champion at the 2011 World Championships – and has not stopped since. Carrington won gold in the women's K1 200m events at the 2012 London Games and 2013, 2014 and 2015 World Championships. Coached by Gordon Walker, the 27-year-old will attempt to continue her dominance at the Rio Games.
