Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, the 6-foot-8 Kevin Anderson has been a consistently solid player on the professional circuit, hovering just outside the top ten over the past few seasons. He began playing the sport at 6 years old, and eventually honed his skills at the University of Illinois from 2005 through 2007; 2007 was also the year he turned pro. While attending college, he met future wife Kelsey, who played on the golf team. Anderson finished 2015 as world no. 12. He participated in singles and men’s doubles at the Beijing 2008 Games, losing in the second and first rounds, respectively. He did not attend the London 2012 Games.

Achieved a career-high year-end ranking, world no. 12, in 2015.
Anderson won his first of three Association of Tennis Professionals events, the South African Open, in his hometown of Johannesburg in 2011.
Anderson has accumulated three ATP men’s singles titles. He has never won a Grand Slam title.
