Considered by many to have some of the best style in slopestyle skiing, Alex Beaulieu-Marchand is always capable of crashing the podium.

As a kid, "ABM" — who originally wanted to play hockey before developing a passion for freeskiing — had to work hard to get to where he is now. When his parents told him that he would have to pay for ski camp on his own, the ingenious Canadian knit and sold beanies to raise the $1000 needed to attend.

In recent years, ABM has managed to find the podium at several major events, including X Games and Dew Tour, but he has also had several seasons marred by injuries (torn ACL in 2015, broken collarbone in 2016). He was Canada's lone entrant in the first-ever Olympic freeski slopestyle contest in 2014. After qualifying sixth, he fell on both runs in the final and finished 12th.
