Alisa Kano is a member of the U.S. rhythmic gymnastics group that won three medals, including a silver in the all-around, at the 2015 Pan American Games. Born in Japan, Kano called New York City home until 2012, when she was selected for the national group team and moved to Chicago to join the North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. When not training or traveling to international competitions, Kano attends Oakton Community College and enjoys drawing and photography. Kano and her U.S. teammates have consistently finished in the top 15 in the world championship group all-around event: 14th place in both 2013 and 2014, then 13th in 2015. They were the highest placed nation from the Americas at 2015 Worlds, earning the U.S. a team spot for the 2016 Olympics.
