An eight-time national team member, Ellen Tomek began her rowing career in 2002 at the University of Michigan. After graduating in 2006, she was invited to train with U.S. Rowing at their Princeton, N.J. training center. Tomek finished fifth in the women's double sculls (W2x) at the 2008 Beijing Games. Recently, she won silver in the W2x at the 2015 World Rowing Cup II and finished 11th at the 2015 World Rowing Championships.
