Biography

John Shuster is making his fourth Olympic appearance in PyeongChang. In his Olympic debut at the 2006 Torino Games, Shuster and his teammates, including skip Pete Fenson, won a history-making bronze medal—the first-ever Olympic medal for U.S. curlers. Shuster was the skip of the 2010 and 2014 U.S. Olympic curling teams, which both finished at or near the bottom in the Olympic tournament. But Shuster’s rink has fared better at the last three world championships, finishing fifth in 2015, winning a bronze in 2016 and placing fourth in 2017. His current teammates are Matt Hamilton, Tyler George, John Landsteiner and Joe Polo in the alternate position.
