A rising star in women's snowboarding, "Jules" Marino is a true double threat. Whether she's competing in slopestyle or big air, Marino has been landing on podiums with remarkable consistency thanks to her continued innovation. Since earning her first X Games invite in 2017, she is 4-for-4 in collecting medals at the prestigious event (two for slopestyle, two for big air).

In 2016, Marino became the first woman to land a double in a slopestyle competition. The ability to land doubles has turned the Connecticut native into one of the field's most progressive riders and a name to watch in the lead-up to PyeongChang 2018.

Marino finished consecutive years (2016 and 2017) in the top three of the FIS World Cup rankings for big air. She also placed second (behind Jamie Anderson) in the 2017 slopestyle rankings.

In the early days, Marino initially preferred skiing, which she had been doing since age 3, over snowboarding. But when she was 12, she broke one of her skis while in the woods and was forced to use her snowboard instead. It was then that she finally gained a new appreciation for snowboarding, and eventually Marino settled in to the sport for good.
