From an early age, Kyle Mack has found success on the slopes. The Michigan native, who began snowboarding at age 3, competed in his first U.S. Open when he was just 9 years old. In 2013, when he was 15, he was the first to throw a frontside triple rodeo 1440 in a competition.

In 2014, with slopestyle making its Olympic debut in Sochi, Mack narrowly missed out on a spot on the U.S. Olympic team.

Originally a dual-threat between halfpipe and slopestyle, Mack has since shifted his primary focus to slopestyle (and big air). He won bronze medals in both slopestyle and big air at the 2015 World Championships, though many top riders did not attend the event. A year later, Mack achieved his most impressive accomplishment to-date when he won the Burton U.S. Open. His run incorporated back-to-back triple corks, including a variation of the triple cork with a Japan grab that had never previously been landed. Mack also placed second at the 2016 Air + Style contest held in Los Angeles.
