Meagan Duhamel just missed out on qualifying for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics with her former partner, Craig Buntin. After Buntin retired, Duhamel considered doing the same but soon found her competitive fire again and teamed up with Eric Radford. Their first season together ended with a seventh place finish at the 2011 World Championships—an impressive finish considering Duhamel elbowed Radford in the face during their short program and Radford had to finish the performance with a bloody, broken nose. They won their first of six consecutive Canadian national titles in 2012. Having won a bronze at the 2013 World Championships, they hoped to make podium in the pairs competition at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. They finished seventh, but did bring home a silver with the Canadian skaters in the inaugural team competition. The post-Olympic season was their best yet, as they went undefeated for seven straight competitions, including the 2015 World Championships. They repeated as world champions in 2016.

In the pre-Olympic season, Duhamel and Radford won both of their Grand Prix assignments and came away with a bronze at the exclusive Grand Prix Final. They won their sixth national title in 2017, surpassing any other Canadian pair. They won a silver medal at the 2017 Four Continents Championships, held at the venue that will host the 2018 Olympic figure skating events. While in PyeongChang, Duhamel adopted a stray dog named Mootae. To wrap up their season, Duhamel and Radford finished seventh at the world championships, despite competing through Radford’s injuries.

Duhamel and Radford began their 2018 Olympic season with a victory at the Autumn Classic. Then, they won Skate Canada and earned a bronze medal at Skate America. They stood on the podium with bronze medals at the Grand Prix Final. In January, they won their seventh national title.
