Biography

Once dubbed the next Michael Jordan by Sports Illustrated for Women, Seimone Augustus has long stood out among the rest. Growing up in Baton Rouge, La., Augustus played on a team for 5-year-old boys when she was just 3. A Women’s Basketball Coaches of America All-American in high school, Augustus played collegiately for Louisiana State University where she was a twice named the Naismith College Player of the Year. Selected No. 1 overall in the WNBA draft by the Minnesota Lynx, the dynamic 6-footer is a three-time WNBA champion and was the 2011 WNBA Finals MVP.
