Julie Foudy - Soccer

Long-time captain and 18 year veteran of the U.S. Women's National Team, Julie Foudy is no stranger to international soccer. In fact, she's the third most capped player in world history, ending her career with 271 appearances for the stars and stripes. Foudy appeared in every match of the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympics, winning two gold medals and a silver. Today, you're more likely to find her up in the booth than on the pitch, covering soccer for ESPN.

Oliver Rosenbladt - Rowing

Oli Rosenbladt is the VP of Technology of the sport's premier website, row2k.com. and the women's crew coach at Deerfield Academy. Rosenbladt started coaching in 1994 with the Riverside Boat Club's lightweight women's team. In 2004, Rosenbladt worked with NBC Sports covering the Olympic rowing competition in Athens. An accomplished rower himself, Mr. Rosenbladt was a member of the varsity crew team at Rutgers University and served as captain in his senior year. A four-time lightweight U.S. National Champion, he participated in the Olympic Trials twice and represented the United States at the Lucerne and Copenhagen International Regattas.  He was champion at the Canadian Henley Regatta and won a bronze medal in lightweight rowing at the 1991 US Olympic Festival.

Tony Black - Wrestling

Tony started wrestling at the age of 5 in River Falls, Wisconsin, and has been involved in the sport as a competitor, official, and coach. He is currently the Manager of Grassroots Development for USA Wrestling in Colorado Springs, CO. As a competitor, Black was a USA Wrestling Cadet All-American in 1996 and FILA Junior All-American in 2000.  Black won two state high school titles before heading to the University of Wisconsin. He was a Division I All-American for the Badgers. Following his career as an athlete, Black was an assistant coach at Wisconsin and then the state coach for the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation, where he coached freestyle and Greco-Roman teams. He has also done work for Fox Sports Net North as the commentator for Wisconsin state high school wrestling tournaments.

Rob Baird - Softball

Rob Baird is the media director for the world-famous Stratford (CT) Brakettes women's fastpitch softball team. He has been the voice of the 28-time National Champions for three years, broadcasting all Brakettes' games online at www.brakettes.com. Baird provided play-by-play for the 2006 National Pro Fastpitch Championship Series at www.profastpitch.com, as well as the 2007 and 2008 ASA Women's Major National Championships. Rob also called play-by-play for NCAA.com's live webTV broadcast of the 2008 NCAA Division II Elite Eight in Springfield, MA. He is the voice of University of Bridgeport men's basketball on WPKN 89.5 FM Bridgeport, and currently works in production for the Dan Patrick Show.

Sherman Nelson - Taekwondo

Nelson began studying Taekwondo in 1986, and competed in both welterweight and middleweight winning more than 30 gold medals, 10 grand championships and 9 state championships by 2000.  He made the U.S. National team and went on to compete at World Championships.  Nelson has coached several National Teams and has coached at the World University Games and the Pan American Taekwondo Championships. In total, Nelson has won four National coaching awards. 

 

Steve Munatones - Swimming: Marathon

Munatones is a former 25K world champion and International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame inductee who also coached the USA Swimming National Open Water Swimming team at 5 world championships. He wrote the Open Water Swimming Dictionary, covers open water for several publications and has participated in the sport as an athlete for over 30 years. He has crossed channels, circumnavigated Manhattan, been surrounded by hammerhead sharks, stung by jellyfish, swum with dolphins and whales and been bitterly cold in lakes in Canada.

Gary Jobson - Sailing

Gary Jobson is a world-class sailor, television commentator and author based in Annapolis, Maryland. Gary has authored 15 sailing books and is Editor at Large of Sailing World and Cruising World magazines. He has won many championships in one design classes, the America's Cup with Ted Turner in 1977, the infamous Fastnet Race and many of the world's ocean races. Over the past thirty-five years Gary has given over 2000 lectures throughout the world. Jobson has been ESPN's sailing commentator since 1985.

Elaine Cheris - Modern Pentathlon

Elaine Cheris is owner and coach at the Cheyenne Fencing Society and Modern Pentathlon Center in Colorado.  She was an Olympic team member in 1980, 1988, and 1996 and on the Pan American Gold Medal Team 1987through 1991. She has been a member of 14 U.S. World Teams and was the highest ranking American internationally in 1998 and 1999. Cheris was also the Pan American Games team leader in the USA Pentathlon in 2003.

Bogdan Pasat - Handball

Bogdan Pasat has participated in all facets of handball for 30 years. At age 16 transferred from the juniors to the 4th division club ICMP in Bucharest. In the U.S., Pasat became a member of the Texas Team Handball Clubs. He is a member of the 2004 and 2005 Houston USATH Nationals Organizing Committee. Pasat was a founding member and Secretary of the American Team Handball Association and is currently working with the newly formed USATH NGB in promoting team handball.  He was the first and only official LiveSportsVideo webcasts play by play announcer of the 2007 and 2008 Miami Tournament Invitationals.

Daria Schneider - Fencing

Daria grew up in Brookline, Mass., and began fencing when she was 10 years old. Her first coach was Ariana Klinkov, the first female to be an internationally-rated referee in women's sabre. She and her husband David Blake own a club, Prise de Fer in Billerica, Mass. Daria was on the 2004 Cadet World Championship team, in addition to being a three-time Junior Olympic champion. She now competes for the famed Columbia University Fencing Team. She now trains with the National Team coach Yuri Gelman at the Manhattan Fencing Center. In 2007, Daria became the NCAA Champion in women's sabre, and will make her bid for the London Olympics in 2012.

Mike McCollow - Basketball

A Basketball Analyst for Fox Sports Net, McCollow covers both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Milwaukee Bucks.  McCollow was an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors, as well as a former head coach for a professional team in Poland. He was GM and head coach for a minor league team in St. Paul, MN. At Oklahoma State University, the University of North Texas, and two teams in the CBA, McCollow was an assistant coach. McCollow, a former two-year captain at Avila University, at one time shared the NAIA and NCAA record for most consecutive 3 pointers made.

Daryl Jones - Badminton

Jones worked his way up through the Badminton officials' ranks and finished his career as a Pan-American certified umpire. He was invited to be the Line-Judge Coordinator for the badminton competition at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. He worked with 100 line judges that officiated during the badminton competition. He was again invited to be a line judge during the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia and volunteered to work the badminton competition in the Athens Olympics in 2004.
