Loch wins in Oberhof, closes in on luge World Cup title

OBERHOF, Germany — Olympic champion Felix Loch of Germany won his fourth World Cup race of the season Sunday, moving closer to his third straight overall series title.
Loch's two-run time was 1 minute, 26.957 seconds, leading a German sweep. Andi Langerhan was second in 1:27.152, and Julian von Schleinitz — who was 49th in the season standings entering Sunday — was third in 1:27.523.
Loch now holds a 130-point lead with two races remaining and could wrap up the title with a second-place finish at Altenberg next weekend.
