The U.S. will send 10 lugers to the Sochi Olympics, including the youngest American men’s luger in Olympic history.
Tucker West, 18, and Aidan Kelly, 19, were the final two men to qualify after World Cup results in Park City, Utah, on Saturday night.
First-time Olympians West and Kelly join 2010 Olympian Chris Mazdzer on the U.S. Olympic Team. Mazdzer, who was 13th at the 2010 Olympics, won his second straight World Cup silver medal Saturday.
The women’s team was set Friday — three-time Olympian Erin Hamlin and first-time Olympians Kate Hansen and Summer Britcher. The U.S.’ top luger last season, Julia Clukey, did not make it.
The doubles teams are Matt Mortensen and Preston Griffall and Christian Niccum and Jayson Terdiman.
The U.S. has won four Olympic luge medals, silver and bronze in doubles in 1998 and 2002.
