Lauren Cholewinski is an American speed skater who participated in Vancouver but failed to receive a medal. She finished 30th in the 500m race and qualified by winning the 2010 U.S. Championship in the distance. Her best World Single Distances Championships finish was 13th in the 2010/11 event in the 500m, which is her best distance. Like many speed skaters, Cholewinski got her start in inline skating. Cholewinski assured her position in Sochi when she finished third in the 500m at U.S. Olympic Trials, filling one of the four available spots on the U.S. speed skating team in the distance.
