The Stanford-born luge practitioner makes his home in Palo Alto, Calif.
Brian has competed in luge since 1990, racking up victories and medals through three different Olympic Games, including bronze in 1998 and silver in 2002.
Brian has also won nine medals at the World Championships, with two silvers and seven bronzes. This winter, Brian looks to add gold at the fourth Olympic Games of his career.
