Shannon Bahrke was born in Reno and now calls Tahoe City, Calif., home. The 2002 Olympic silver medalist will turn 29 before the torch reaches its final stage in Canada where she looks to recapture her former glory on the moguls. Shannon placed 10th at the 2006 Olympics in the same event. Her motto is, "Success is failure turned inside out."
Shannon's younger brother, Scott is a member of the U.S. aerials team. Outside of skiing, Shannon owns Silver Bean Coffee Company, a Salt Lake City based company that produces a variety of coffee beans and blends.
