Jordan Malone, a native of Denton, Texas, qualified for the U.S. Olympic team in short track speed skating when he placed third at the U.S. Championships in Michigan in September. He lives and trains in Salt Lake City for most of the year. Making the 2010 Olympic team was a dream come true for Malone, who did not qualify for the 2006 Winter Games in Turin, Italy, because of an ankle injury.
