Ryan St. Onge was born to ski. His father, a freestyle official in Connecticut, had him on the slopes at the ripe old age of two. At age eight, he and his family moved to Winter Park, Colo., where St. Onge joined the city's freestyle program. That winter, St. Onge says it seemed like it snowed three feet every week, and he was officially hooked on skiing. Growing up in Colorado, St. Onge trained at the Winter Park Competition Center and joined the U.S. ski team at age 14. A year later, he went to the World Mogul Camp in Blackcomb, British Columbia, with a desire to compete in aerials.
St. Onge has won five Junior Worlds medals, two of which were gold. As a pro, St. Onge has seven World Cup aerials wins, and five U.S. aerials titles. The 2006 Olympian also won the 2009 World Championship aerials gold medal.
