Shani Davis
United States - Speed Skating
The two-time Torino medalist (gold: 1000m, silver: 1500m) won the 1500m event at a World Cup in Hamar, Norway. Davis is now three-for-three in 1500m World Cups this year.

 

Jeremy Abbott
United States - Figure Skating
The reigning U.S. champion won Skate Canada and was the only skater to land a quad in the free skate. Abbott earned a berth in the Grand Prix Final to be held December 3-6 in Tokyo, Japan.

 

Steve Holcomb
United States - Bobsled
The reigning world champion, Holcomb piloted his vaunted "Night Train" sled to four-man gold at a World Cup in Lake Placid and finished second in the two-man event.


John Napier
United States - Bobsled
The home track in Lake Placid clearly a boost, American John Napier led two-man and four-man sleds to the inverse of Holcomb - Napier won the two-man and was second in the four-man.

 

Sven Kramer
Netherlands - Speed Skating
The 23-year-old Dutchman set a track record in winning the 10,000m at the Hamar World Cup. Kramer is the favorite for Olympic gold in both the 5000m and 10,000m distances.
