Five fun questions to get to know Chris Mazdzer
What would people be surprised to learn about training for the Olympics/Paralympics?
For the most part it’s not as glorious or glamorous as it sounds. I work out at a regular gym and people are surprised to hear that a 2x Olympian training for his third would be lifting right next to them.
What does a typical day of eating look like during training?
Luckily for me I am in a gravity sport so I do not need to watch my weight so I can eat all of the good food that I want.
What is your earliest or favorite memory of watching the Olympics?
When I was 10 years old, I watched the Nagano Olympics and luge was the first event that I saw. I wanted to be the one racing down that course in the Olympics, and that is where the dream came from.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Always make sure you are having fun.

We don't just lie there!!! Luge actually requires the most skill out of all of the sliding sports.
