Within your sport, who has been your greatest influence and why?
Lindsey Vonn and I grew up competing together since we were little girls. I think it pushed us both to always improve and move forward and never give up.

What is your earliest or favorite memory of watching the Olympics?
I grew up in Olympic Valley, so I had a lot of friends and family friends that were somehow involved in the Olympics. I remember going on a river trip with my grandparents [and] driving through Utah and we had stopped at a gas station where they sold pins for the upcoming [2002] Olympics. I had to have one, so my grandma bought me one and I kept it with me as a charm that I would make it to those Games.
What would constitute a perfect day for you?
Simple: The perfect day would be a nice, relaxing breakfast and surfing glassy waves all day.

What advice would you give to a young student or child just starting out in your sport?
Have fun. Sports are fun, and you might be good at it but never take it too seriously.
