Size really doesn't matter: Simone Biles poses with 6'8" volleyball player

Standing just 4-foot-8, gymnast Biles is one of the shortest members of Team USA

Olympians come in all shapes and sizes, from weightlifters to table tennis players and everyone in between. Gymnast Simone Biles, a favorite to multiple gold medals in Rio, illustrated this perfectly when she posed with volleyball player David Lee.

19-year-old Biles is 4-foot-8 inches tall, the shortest member of the U.S. women's gymnastics team in Rio. 34-year-old David Lee is a full two feet taller at 6-foot-8. The odd couple met in the Team USA sports medicine room in the Athletes Village.

Lee is making his third Olympic appearance in Rio, and already has a gold medal from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Biles is making her Olympic debut.

Biles' teammate, 2012 Olympian Aly Raisman, also posted a picture of her with Lee. Raisman is a few inches taller than Biles at 5-foot-2.
