Team USA's Connor Fields led BMX finals from start to finish, took home gold

Team USA's Connor Fields wins the gold medal in men's bmx, Nic Long edged out for bronze

Team USA’s Connor Fields flew out of the gate and led from start to finish during the men’s BMX finals.  Fields will take home the gold medal after finishing 7th in London.

Dutch BMXer Jelle van Gorkom sped past Fields' teammate Nic Long during the final berm to nab the silver medal.

Carlos Alberto Ramirez Yepes of Colombia edged out Long in a photo finish to win the bronze.

Fields and Long sped out of the gate and the pair had a hefty lead on the rest of the pack until that last turn. Long ended up in 4th place and it was as close as it gets.
