Check out what KARE 11 anchor Eric Perkins has to say about the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
With technological advancements comes better coverage. This year's Olympic reports will be more extensive than ever, as a result of this sophisticated gadgetry we're being outfitted with.
I will be more wired than ever. We'll be live on TV often, but we'll also be tethered pretty closely to the web. I'll be accessible 24/7, and able to bring the folks back home all the very latest from the ground in Vancouver. I'll have two laptops with me. One to write, another to edit. I'll have a BlackBerry and an iPhone, and we'll also have a land line of course too in our hotel and in our workspace.
We'll be live on kare11.com every weekday at 12 noon CST, with our "Lunchtime Live Report." Folks can chat along as we bring live updates. I'll be blogging constantly and uploading the latest photos and videos on the site too. If something interesting is happening from the slopes, from a press conference, from my shuttle ride even, you'll be able to see it within a matter of moments.
I'll also be tweeting and facebooking. Just search "perkatplay." It's awfully exciting to be covering another Olympics, and certainly unprecedented in our amount of accessibility. Watch for our updates along the road starting tomorrow morning. See you soon!
