Canadian men's captain Sidney Crosby played one season for Shattuck. As a 15 year old in 2002-03, he dominantly posted 162 points in 57 games, leaving after the year to play junior hockey in Quebec.

Also an Olympic gold medal-winner in 2010, Jonathan Toews played two seasons at Shattuck, from 2003-05. Since 2007, he has played for the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks, who he captained to Stanley Cups in both 2010 and 2013.
