Hello again from my second home - Qingdao, China. Since our last training camp in June, it sure has become a lot more humid and a bit warmer (I cooked two eggs on the asphalt next to our Star in the boat park today)!

We have roughly one month to go before our first race of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A number of people ask me what I am feeling. Am I nervous, stressed, excited? Honestly I am ready to get the Games started.

All is well here in Qingdao. More of the same for the last few days. Boat work in the am, followed by dock off around 12:45, returning to the harbor around 18:00.

The entire gang is here in China! We are operating on all cylinders. JD and Hans arrived on Monday afternoon/evening. It's good to have the band together again!

Austin and the team are back in China for a couple weeks to prepare for the 2008 Olympic regatta. In his latest post, he talks about his trip over, the hotel and how different Qindgao is since his last visit in the summer of 2007.

I love this place, but I could definitely live without the cold. JD and I are in Kiel, training with Marc Pickel and Ingo Borkowski. We have our coaches Rodney Hagebols and Hans Wallen, along with Anthony Kotoun with us.

JD and I just returned from a fantastic 24 hours in Chicago! First off, I love that city! I have been there a handful of times and somehow I seem to always have an awesome time.

I am 30 years old and in October 2007, won the US Olypmic Trials in the double handed star boat with my teammate and father-in law, John Dane III.
