London Olympics: First Medal Awarded Aug 4
There are five medal events in tennis at the London Olympics, with Mixed Doubles returning to the Games as an official Olympic event for the first time since 1924. In Beijing, Russia led the tennis medal count with three – one gold, one silver and one bronze.
