The girl in front: Katelin Snyder

Coxswain (noun): The steersman of a racing shell. The United States women's eight boat has a legacy of winning and the pressure was on to continue the streak in Rio. Using her strong voice and fiery persona, the 5-foot-4-inch, 110-pound Katelin Snyder was able to propel a boat full of women, all over 5 feet 11 inches, to victory. She was, in a sense, the "steerswoman" they needed.
