Zambia's Mathews Punza pulled off what could go down as the biggest upset of the Olympics when he pinned Israel's Golan Pollack for an ippon less than two minutes into a 66kg preliminary-round judo match. Punza was ranked No. 112 in the world at the end of the Olympic qualification period; Pollack, the No. 6 seed, was considered a medal contender in the event.
