Making his NHL debut in October 2005, Alex Ovechkin has become one of the league's top stars. He's coming off a 2008-09 season that saw him score 56 goals and win both the Rocket Richard Trophy and Hart Trophy as he led the Caps to the Eastern Conference semifinals. Ovechkin played in his first Winter Olympic Games in 2006, scoring five goals. He was the only player not with Sweden or Finland to make the all-tournament team. Ovechkin was the first overall draft choice in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He has scored 219 goals in his four years with the Capitals.
