Born in Miami, Jennifer Rodriguez attended Palmetto Senior High School. She first took up inline skating when she was 4 years old after attending a friend's birthday party at a skating rink. In 1996 she made the switch to speed skating at the urging of her then-boyfriend, Olympic speed skater KC Boutiette. Jennifer, nicknamed "Miami Ice" and "J-Rod", co-owns a cycling and fitness shop with Boutiette in Miami and is an avid fan of all Miami sports teams.
