Sandra Kiriasis, GER-1
Sandra Kiriasis, who finished fourth in 2010, was sixth after the first run.
Esme Kamphuis, NED-1
Kamphuis was in fifth place after the first run. The Dutch have never won a medal in any Olympic bobsled event.
Elfje Willemsen, BEL-1
The Belgian pilot was in fourth place after the first run, 0.47 seconds behind the third-place USA-2 sled.
Jazmine Fenlator and Lolo Jones, USA-3
Fenlator and Jones were in 11th place after the first run.
Fabiana Santos, BRA-1
Despite enduring a frightening crash in training on Sunday, the Brazilian women were able to compete in the Games. They were in 18th place (out of 19 sleds) after the first two runs.
