The Canadian women’s hockey team beat the U.S. 6-3 in the second of their six pre-Olympic exhibition games, in Boisbriand, Quebec, on Thursday night.
Canada, the three-time reigning Olympic champion, had defeated the U.S. 3-2 in Burlington, Vt., in a game remembered for its third-period fight (video here) on Saturday.

Hayley Wickenheiser, the all-time Olympic scoring leader, netted a pair to lead the hosts, as did Rebecca Johnston. Caroline Ouellette and Jayna Hefford also scored for Canada.
Jessie Vetter, the starting U.S. goalie at the 2010 Olympics and April’s World Championships, was taken out for Molly Schaus after the first period, where she gave up three goals on 13 shots. A third goalie, Brianne McLaughlin, played all 60 minutes Saturday.
Brianna Decker, Kendall Coyne and Jocelyne Lamoureux scored for the Americans. Canada did not start its top goalie, Shannon Szabados.
