Martin Fourcade (left) of France will head to the Sochi Olympics as one of the leading medal contenders after winning individual gold and silvers in sprint, pursuit, relay and mixed relay at the 2013 World Championships. He teamed with his brother Simon on that silver-medal-winning relay.

Taylor and Arielle Gold (USA), Snowboarding
It’s not often an older brother wants to live up to his little sister, but Taylor Gold (left) has found himself motivated by his younger sister’s success. Arielle won the 2013 FIS World Snowboarding Halfpipe championship. Arielle wouldn’t be where she is today if Taylor hadn’t convinced her to switch from skiing to snowboarding when she was seven years old.

Christian and Ursina Haller (SUI), Snowboarding
Swiss siblings Ursina (right) and Christian Haller are serious shredders. These two snowboarders convince each other to try new tricks and push their boundaries. Ursina finished ninth in women’s halfpipe in Vancouver. Christian also competed in the halfpipe in Vancouver, finishing 36th.

Charles and Francois Hamelin (CAN), Short track
The two brothers are both Canadian short track speed skaters and shared a gold medal in 2010 in the men’s relay. Charles (right) won an additional gold in the 500m and was the overall World Cup champion this season.
