Alternate captain and defenseman of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Brooks Orpik represents Team USA for the second straight Olympics. Orpik was a member of the 2010 silver medal squad and also helped Pittsburgh win the 2009 Stanley Cup.

Paul Martin of the Pittsburgh Penguins will play for the U.S. Men's Olympic Hockey Team in Sochi. Martin is still looking to be a factor on the 2014 squad after not competing during the 2006 Turin Games and breaking his arm prior to the 2010 Games.
