Forward Karen Thatcher played hockey for three years at Providence College after spending a season at Brown University. She finished her college career at PC ranked 10th on the school's all-time points list. Thatcher graduated from Providence in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in biology. She is a two-time member of the U.S. women's national team. Thatcher is a native of Douglas, Mass., and was born on Feb. 29, 1984. She now lives in Blaine, Wash.
