Heading to her fourth Winter Games, Clark looks to add a third medal to her gold (2002) and bronze (2010). At 30, Clark continues to excel, and was atop the podium at the World Cup event at Copper Mountain in December 2013 and won the halfpipe test event in Sochi last February.

Shani Davis, speed skating
Davis is the first black athlete to win an individual gold at a Winter Games, and is also the two-time defending Olympic champion in the 1000m. He will contend for medals in both the 1000m and 1500m.

The American ice dancers are two-time world champions (in 2011 and 2013) and will attempt to win the U.S. their first-ever gold in ice dancing after placing second behind training partners and rivals Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada in 2010.
