CALGARY, CANANDA (WKTV) - Remsen native Erin Hamlin will compete Saturday night at the Luge World Cup in Calgary, Canada for a chance to get herself on the 2010 Olympic team. She guarantees herself a spot if she can finish in the top five places.
Hamlin shocked the world last year in Lake Placid, beating the Germans to take home the gold and become the World Champion.
With her eyes set on Vancouver in February, she formally opened defense of her world championship when the World Cup Luge Series opened in Calgary on Friday.
