Lindsey Williams now lives in Marquette, MI, but she began her Olympic career while in school at Northern Michigan University. Earlier this year she underwent surgery to correct a circulation issue on the back of each leg. While each invasive operation sidelined Lindsay for four to six weeks, according to her coaches her head remained in the game. Remarkably, her technique is efficient and her fitness was high this summer as she appears to have reaped the benefits of years of base training.
