Ohio is well represented among the members of the U.S. Women's Hockey Team in Vancouver. Defenseman, Lisa Chesson, played four years at Ohio State University. She completed her collegiate career with 89 points, currently ranking her 9th in the school's record book and 4th among defensemen.
In 2009, Chesson became the first Buckeye named to the U.S. Women's National Team for the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federal World Women's Championship. The 2009 squad repeated the gold medal success of the 2008 team, defeating Canada in the final game, 4-1. Now this former Buckeye is taking her winning ways all the way to the Winter Olympics where she's hoping to add another medal, hopefully gold, to her resume.
