This Brooklyn Heights native has been moving towards the Olympics since she was four years old. As a youngster Stack played on an all-boys teams in the Cleveland Barons youth hockey organization. In high school, she moved to the elite girls' hockey club, the Ohio Flames, where she was captain in 2004.

After graduating from Cuyahoga Heights High School, Stack went on to Boston College where she has won the Hockey East Player of the Year honors twice, first as a freshman and again as a junior in 2009. Stack was a member of the U.S. team which won consecutive gold medals at the IIHF World Women's Championship in 2008 and 2009.

She credits her older brother for introducing her to hockey at such a young age. All the years of hard work have brought Stack to Vancouver. It's an Olympic dream that began for her before she even started elementary school.
