Janesville, Wisconsin native, Tucker Fredricks, was introduced to speedskating in 1994 because he was too small to play hockey. He initially disliked the sport, but warmed up to it when he began to improve while training at the Madison Speed Skating Club. Fredricks has gone on to become a 2006 Olympian and the 2008 U.S. Champion in the 500m, in which he holds an American record. When he's not training, Fredricks enjoys golf, movies and music.
