She began her skating career in 1996 when she was only eight years old. In 2002, she competed in the Junior Grand Prix and won the silver at the World Junior Championships. In the 2004-2005 season, she skated her first season as a full-time senior. She moved to the United States to prepare for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino under Carol Heiss Jenkins. She ranked 15th in the free skate event at Torino. In 2007-2008, she skated in Skate America and took the silver home.
