Growing up in Trumbull, Connecticut, Drury liked baseball, and he even pitched in the 1989 Little League World Series. He started playing in the NHL with the Colorado Avalanche during 1998-1999 season. After stints at the Calgary Flames and the Buffalo Sabres, he ended up with the Rangers.
