A two-time national champion at the University of Wisconsin, Meghan Duggan will try to help Team USA win gold in women's hockey. The Danvers, Massachusetts native will take a year off at Wisconsin and complete her senior season next year. She collected third-team All-WCHA honors in her junior year as the Badgers claimed the NCAA title in Boston, making Duggan's homecoming a very memorable one.
As a sophomore (2007-08), Duggan earned first-team All-WCHA honors while scoring 43 points - second best on the Badgers. That came off a freshman season in which she tallied 52 points (tops in the league for first-year players) and was named the WCHA Rookie of the Year.
An all-around athlete, Duggan played varsity soccer, softball and lacrosse in high school and earned the Bette Davis Award as the top female athlete in her class three separate years. She roomed with fellow Badger and U.S. Women's National Team member Erika Lawler at Cushing Academy. Duggan is a three-time member of the U.S. Women's National Team for the International Ice Hockey Federation World Women's Championship (gold-2008, 2009; silver-2007).
