The Fairfield native is one of the veterans on the U.S. women's ice hockey team. After starring at Choate Rosemary Hall High School in Wallingford, Julie made the 2002 team that won a silver medal at the Salt Lake City Games. She followed that with a bronze medal at the 2006 Olympics. She is the first Asian-American woman and first Chinese-American woman to play for the U.S. women's Olympic team. She capped her decorated college career at Harvard by winning the Patty Kazmaier award given to the best female collegiate hockey player. Julie now lives in Minneapolis where she is training for the 2010 Games and her ultimate dream of winning a gold medal.
