The United States will present its roster for the team event during the Games.

The 2025 World Figure Skating Championships were the first and main qualification event for the 2026 Winter Olympics. The 2026 U.S. Figure Skating Championships were the final qualification event.

The maximum number of Olympic berths a country could earn was 18, or three athletes/teams in each discipline (women’s, men’s, pairs and ice dancing).

To earn three spots in a discipline, the final rankings of the country’s two best skaters/teams must add up to 13 or fewer. For example, the U.S. earned three berths in men’s figure skating because Ilia Malinin and Jason Brown finished 1st and 8th, respectively, at the 2025 World Championships, and their combined rankings (1 + 8) added up to 9. If their combined rankings had equaled 14 or higher, the U.S. would be allowed to send only two male skaters to the 2026 Winter Olympics.
